Starfunds.ai is a unique, rule-based, quantitative manager using a fund selection algorithm conceptualised and designed over 10 years ago. The algorithm selects top-performing funds, which enables Starfunds.ai to achieve long-term outperformance against its benchmarks.
The Starfunds.ai BCI Stable Fund of Funds, which was launched on 31 August 2023, aims to provide a stable level of income, combined with long-term capital stability. The portfolio is Regulation 28 compliant, and the benchmark is the ASISA SA Multi-Asset Low Equity category average.
The fund is rebalanced every three months with the latest rebalance applied in March and held exposure in the following funds: Camissa Stable Fund, PrivateClient BCI Low Equity Fund, M&G Inflation Plus Fund, SATRIX Low Equity Fund, PPS Defensive Fund and the Amplify SCI Wealth Protected Fund.
The Starfunds.ai BCI Balanced Fund of Funds was launched on 2 April 2013 and aims to provide investors with a moderate level of income and long-term capital growth by investing into a minimum of five SA Multi-Asset High Equity funds.
The fund is rebalanced quarterly with the latest rebalance in February. The fund is invested into the Fairtree Balanced Prescient Fund, Nedbank Investments Managed Prescient Fund, PrivateClient BCI High Equity Fund Fund, PPS Managed Fund and the Vision BCI SA Balanced Fund.
The Starfunds.ai BCI Equity Fund of Funds was launched on 2 December 2021, with the fund’s objective to provide investors with high long-term capital growth by investing into a minimum of five South African General Equity Funds.
The fund is rebalanced every three months and the last rebalance was applied in March and is invested into the Methodical BCI Equity Fund, 36One BCI SA Equity Fund, Optimum BCI Equity Fund, Prescient Core Capped Equity Fund, PSG Equity Fund, Sequoia BCI SA Equity Fund and the Vunani BCI Equity Fund.
The Starfunds.ai BCI Property Fund of Funds was launched on 2 December 2021 with the objective of providing investors with moderate long-term capital growth by investing into a minimum of five equally weighted SA Real Estate general funds.
The fund is rebalanced every six months with the next rebalance due in April and finished the quarter invested into the Sesfikile BCI Property Fund, Amplify SCI Property Equity Fund, Plexus Wealth BCI Property Fund, Portfolio Metrix BCI Property Fund, and PortfolioMetrix BCI Property Fund.
