Starfunds.ai is a unique, rule-based, quantitative manager using a fund selection algorithm conceptualised and designed over 10 years ago. The algorithm selects top-performing funds, which enables Starfunds.ai to achieve long-term outperformance against its benchmarks.

The Starfunds.ai BCI Stable Fund of Funds, which was launched on 31 August 2023, aims to provide a stable level of income, combined with long-term capital stability. The portfolio is Regulation 28 compliant, and the benchmark is the ASISA SA Multi-Asset Low Equity category average.

The fund is rebalanced every three months with the next rebalance scheduled for May and ended March holding exposure in the following funds: Anchor BCI Dividend Stable Fund, Merchant West SCI Stable Payers and Growers Fund, Camissa Stable Fund, Stanlib Balanced Cautious Fund and the Sasfin BCI Stable Fund.

The Starfunds.ai BCI Balanced Fund of Funds was launched 2 April 2013 and has outperformed the ASISA SA Multi Asset High Equity Category Average benchmark over 1, 3 and 5 years (click on the Starfunds.ai logo to view the 31 March 2024 Minimum Disclosure Document for fund and performance information).

The fund aims to provide investors with a moderate level of income and long-term capital growth by investing into five SA Multi-Asset High Equity funds.

The fund is rebalanced quarterly and the next rebalance is scheduled for May. The fund finished March invested into the Abax Balanced Prescient Fund, Centaur BCI Balanced Fund, Fairtree Balanced Prescient Fund, Merchant West SCI Multi Asset Payers and Growers Fund, Granate BCI Balanced Fund and the PPS Managed Fund.

The Starfunds.ai BCI Equity Fund of Funds was launched on 2 December 2021 with the fund’s objective to provide investors with high long-term capital growth by investing into five South African Equity General funds.

The fund is rebalanced every three months and the next rebalance is scheduled for May. It ended March invested into the Investec Wealth BCI Dynamic Equity Fund, Merchant West SCI Dividend Equity Fund, Select BCI Equity Fund, Steyn Capital Equity Prescient Fund and the Ninety One Value Fund.

The Starfunds.ai BCI Property Fund of Funds was launched on 2 December 2021 with the objective of providing investors with moderate long-term capital growth by investing into five equally weighted SA Real Estate general funds.

The fund is rebalanced every six months with the next rebalance due in May and finished March invested into the SIM Property Equity Fund, Plexus Wealth BCI Property Fund, Portfolio Metrix BCI Property Fund, Prescient Property Equity Fund, and the M&G Property Fund.
